[The Beer and Baccy Ceilidh / Ceili Band]

Testimonials

Here are some things that other people have said about us:

Slackers Charity Ceilidh Dec 2010 website
"Quite possibly the greatest event you’ll ever attend. You’ll dance the night away to live music provided by the awesome ‘Beer & Baccy’ ceilidh band who have played for the BBC and the Royal College of Music amongst others – there will even be on-the-spot prizes for particularly good movers and shakers on the night!"

Hello Jim, (Email rec'd 1140hrs 1/11/09)
Just a brief word to say how much I enjoyed Saturday's gig. ... struck just the right note, I think. ... helped to create an encouraging ambience for the audience to get involved.
A good time was had by all... ... Good Work! Gerry
P.S. Wet the baby's head. Horace requires something noble & fine for a commanding position on the bridge. A 20 year old single malt should do it. Talisker or Cuill Isla for a touch of peat & brisk sea air.

Hi Jim (Email rec'd 1900hrs 19/10/09)
Thank you for an amazing party thoroughly enjoyed by Victoria and all her guests. ... ...

I have recommended and given your details to a friend of mine who has a large Irish family and would like a ceilidh for her first babys christening party. Her name is Denise Arnold. I am sure she will contact you in the near future.

After the success of our ceilidh, Victoria is keen to organise one for her school as a fund raising event. This is in the very early stages of planning, as soon as I know anything I will let you know. Theresa

Hi Jim (Email rec'd 2245hrs 1/10/09
... ... ... Just to say thank you so much for a great night at our wedding - everyone had a great night and all enjoyed taking part in the dancing & and as you very well know everyone made an effort some good & some bad!!

The comments back from my friends were great music & great craic and from my point I had the most fantastic night ever. So thank you.

Trish & Andy

Hello Jim (Email rec'd 0637hrs 23/9/09)
We are still enjoying our Caelidh 10 days after the event. We have had
so many good comments back from our friends and familyand all seem to
have enjoyed it enormously. Hope you all had good journeys back home
and that the roads were not too congested. I received an email from a
friend who was unable to come due to another celebration the night
before. She said they could hear the music from their bedroom and
joined in with Ireland Ireland, and knew that we had enjoyed it all
from what they heard!
Can't wait for the next one now.
All the very best to you and all the band,
Bernadette

James, (Email rec'd 1435hrs 1/9/09)
I just want to let you know how much Mary & I as well as all our guests enjoyed your band. It really made our day. The way you got people up to dance ... ... was obviously a well honed skill. The range of tunes were terrific. All our photos show happy faces on the dance floor and we have had many favorable comments since. Thanks once again,

Kind Regards Terry & Mary Spurling.

Jim, (Email rec'd 2244hrs 26/7/09)

Firstly, I must apologise for not emailing you sooner. I have been meaning to do so since the party in April!

I just wanted to let you and the other members of the band know how much everyone enjoyed the party. Quite a number of people commented to me what a great band I’d found.

As you know, most of the guests were novices when it comes to country dancing. Your calling instructions were excellent and those who didn’t get the hang of it must have been those who weren’t listening properly!! I found the predominance of progressive dances worked particularly well for my guests since there were quite a lot of people who didn’t know each other.

Thanks for providing first class entertainment and for all the helpful suggestions you sent in advance to make the event go smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone wanting a good evening of country dancing.

Kind regards, Judith

hello jim, (Email recd 1432 30/6/09)

Jim, (Email rec'd 1850hrs 25/5/09)
Just a huge thank you for all your efforts on the wedding; music to make the heart soar and the feet jig. We had a fantastic time because the band just kept playing despite some very lively guests. Perhaps I should have told you that there were one or two Pykies coming!

Please as on my thanks to all the band members.

Kind Regards Mark Dixon.

Hi James,(Email 1622hrs 13/5/09 RE: Big Brother's Little Brother - house band )

That’s such a shame as we were really excited about meeting you. I must reiterate that we’re making a fun item that is in no way poking fun at the band we choose to feature. They’d actually be an integral and much loved part of the show.

However, I understand your reservations given the nature of much TV at the moment! Please do get in touch if you change your mind. If not, best of luck with everything.

Thanks, Kirsty

Dear Jim (Email Rec'd 1430hrs 3/5/09)
Just a note to thank you and the band for a great evening on April 25. It was exactly what we wanted and everyone I've spoken to has said what a good party it was and how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. Just about everyone was up on the dancefloor too.
Many thanks to you all. Kind regards Debbie Foster

Hi Peter, (Email rec'd 2024hrs 30/4/09)
First of all please accept my apologies for the delay in writing ( I have been away on annual leave) to say a big "thank you" to you, PJ and all the members of the Beer and Baccy Band. We had a wonderful evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all. It is especially good to see all ages coming together to enjoy themselves. The caller was excellent getting everyone involved. A special thanks to him. We raised a total of £XXX for the Jubilee Fund which is very much appreciated.
Again many thanks Pat Parish Secretary St Luke's Pinner

Jim, it was a pleasure and really great fun – you have a super group, ... ... a thought – do you have any recorded work we can use for a sound track to a DVD of the wedding – particularly the last song! ... ... Thanks anyway. You have the knack to create a real buzz at an event and a recording would sell well. As ever Tim

Jim, (Email rec'd 2016hrs 20/4/09)

Please accept our thanks and appreciation for your wonderful accompaniment to make the wedding so memorable.

Your band was exceptional – please pass on our thanks to all the players – they are all great professionals.

On behalf of all the students here at the RCM Halls of Residence, I wanted to thank you and the other band members for such a fantastic evening yesterday... I've had people coming up to me all day saying how much they enjoyed themselves and listening to such sensational playing! We'd love it if you came back in the not too distant future for an encore!

Thanks once again, and I'll be in touch to see about arranging a date in september time-ish... (if you don't mind coming back!!)

Very warm wishes and grateful thanks,

Dear Jim,

As I said to you this evening...

that was such a successful and fabulously fun evening for the entire
school. We had a BALL. I know it was crazy for you with all the little
kids and the undisciplined adults! But what a joy to see our great
homogenous mass jigging away all together and all enjoying it.

Thank you so much Kerry (ME Kerry Fox ... international actress etc!)

Jim,
Good morning to you, and just a quick note to say thank you very much for your contribution to our Burns Night last Thursday.

Judging by the state our collective heads on Friday morning I think it's fair to say that we all had a cracking good night.

Watching drunken English folks trying to do scottish country dancing never fails to entertain me!

Regards and thanks for everything once again. Craige Hume

Jim,
Many thanks for last night. Everybody keeps telling us what a fantastic evening they had and that's credit to you and the boys.

Also, many apologies for not asking everyone to thank you when you'd finished. I was a bit wound up, but could have kicked myself when I thought about it.
Kind Regards David Turner

Hi Jim,
just a brief hello to say thank you for your great playing at our wedding party on 11 October. I hope you enjoyed it too. I have to admit that I forgot to check whether you received sandwiches and drinks and can only hope that you were looked after or simply found everything that you needed. Your performance was great and exactly what we had hoped for and I am still amazed how you managed to get everyone onto the dance floor. So, well done. ... ...
All the best to you and your band ... André

Just a huge thank you for the wonderful evenings entertainment you all provided
for our wedding at the Crown, Pishill on the 27th September 2008. Everyone had a fantastic evening and are still talking about the band and dancing!

Thank you so much for helping to make our day so wonderful! As you know we did
everything ourselves - from dresses to cake - and beyond. We were on a very
tight budget - but you guys were money well spent! Our only extravagance, and everyone loved you! You pitched everything perfectly and got everyone involved.
Thank you so much for the special effort you made for 'our song' - it was such a nice touch. Forever grateful for happy memories.

I was at the barn dance you performed at in Upminster, and I was just curious if you had any CD’s for sale or could recommend any, I have never heard your style of music performed with such fun and vigour.

You really made the evening for everyone.

If you could help me I would be very grateful.

Kind regards Harry Barrington-Mountford

I was recently at a wedding of a friend's, Katie O'Neill and your band was playing there. I thought you were great. I am actually getting married next year, on the 3rd July, but in Ireland. I am looking for a band like yours, which offers a mix of ceilidh and more modern tunes, and was wondering if you knew of anyone in the Cork area that you thought were good. Otherwise, do you cover Ireland as well?!
Thanks a lot, Aisling

Further to our exchange of emails and phone conversations, I write to confirm your booking of the band with caller for Wednsday the 20th August 08 for a corporate function at Renaissance Chancery Court, Holburn. I understand that this is for a pharmaceutical company and that the booking arises as result of an employee being impressed by our performance at a gig on the 4th April this year.

Hello James, (Email rec'd 1342hrs 23/7/08)

I just wanted to e-mail you to say a huge thank you for the amazing evening entertainment! You really made after dinner so much fun – never have I seen so many people on the dance floor having so much fun! You really made it for everyone – the evening really wouldn’t have been the same without you, thank you sincerely for your patience with us before the wedding (!) and for providing us with the best ceilidh and more so the best entertainment ever (I photograph weddings for a living so have a heard a few!) You guys really are brilliant at what you do.

Thank you. Best Wishes, Suzie and Jeff

Are you the band that was at Helen and Keith's wedding on Saturday in Cobham?

I was a guest there and thoroughly enjoyed the music and dancing.

I have 2 daughters getting married next year. At least one of them intends to have a ceilidh in the evening. Can you please give some indication of your charges?

Many thanks Sarah

(Email 1427hrs 15/7/08)
... We have around 80-100 people coming in the evening and would want music and dance from 7.30-10.30pm. I saw you and your band at Jane Hall's party on 8th March at the IC and was very impressed so we would love to have you play.
Look forward to hearing from you
Pat Gregory

Dear Jim Curran, (Letter dated 20/6/08)
Thank you so much for making our wedding evening for our daughter and son in law so wonderful. You were such fun, such excellent music and also you have the talent to get everyone out of their seats, on the floor and dance. I also loved and admired the way you mixed all the guests so anyone without a partner didn't need to worry - there was always someone "next in line". I will reccommend you and hope to ask you to come to us again ... ...
Thank you Jim Curran you are excellent
Best wishes Daphne Davidson Kelly.

Hi Jim (Email rec'd 1401hrs 23/3/08 - re Lord Mayor's gig)

Happy Easter! Hope you are having a nice weekend.

We did manage to see you last weekend. We loved the celtic music. It was great and you've sold yourself to us! Can we book you for 4 October 2008?

We are planning to have an evening buffet from 21.00 so hope this will fit your timings for a break. The band is welcome to help themselves to something to eat too.

I'm guessing that you won't need to visit the barn but please let me know if you need any equipment and how much space we need to leave for you.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards, Caroline.

Hello ! (Email rec'd 1421hrs 18/3/08)

We were there in the rain & cold on Sunday & enjoyed the bits we heard.
Must have been very cold for you all.

Were you the 'speaker' person, with the short ponytail,
who sat on the 'right' side of your band
ie. looking 'out' at the crowd, from your angle ?
Will go through the details with you soon & settle on a price, etc.
- can't do now.

Just to say - a 'Yes' to our booking you for the 17th May
if that is possible with you?
Regards, Pat.

Dear Jim (Email rec'd 1050hrs 17/3/08)
On behalf of the St Osmund's School PTA, I just wanted to write a quick thank you to you and the rest of the band for a great night on Friday. The atmosphere soon got going and I am sure all present had a wonderful night dancing. I think that this was one of the liveliest nights we have had for a number of years and that is primarily down to your wonderful live music and constant "encouragement" to the dancers!
Thanks again and watch out for referals

Dear Jim, (Email rec'd 2316hrs 8/3/08)
I know this may seem a rather long time ago (over 3 months!), but just wanted to thank you again for playing at mine and J's wedding (December 15th, Notting Hill!). Was absolutely perfect for what we wanted in terms of atmosphere and your band in itself were an incredible line up! There are a few photos on www.roseblade.com of some members, although better ones were done by non-professional individuals! Thanks again, and all the best,
Christina Hunter

(Email rec'd 2156hrs 26/02/08 )

We very much enjoyed your performance at our friend's wedding, Paul and charlotte Lloyd, in Oct 2006.

However we would not require quite the same extent of performance as this!

If you could provide anything for around £XXX we would love to discuss details further. We know this is less than your usual rates, but Paul and Charlotte's wedding was so fantastic with you guys there, and we want to have something along the same lines.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Yours desperately!!

Ned and Rach

Dear Jim, (Letter rec'd 23/01/08)

still laughing about all their efforts on the dance floor.

Thank you so much for a fantastic night. The band made it a Christmas party not to forget. I think judging by how many people joined in, it is fair to say that a good time was had by all. I know I enjoyed myself and have not danced so much in years. Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the band.

Hi Jim (Email rec'd 1350hrs 19/12/07)

Thanks for that and for last night. I think judging by how many people joined in (without too much coaxing) it is fairly safe to say that a good time was had by all I know I enjoyed myself. It's quite nerve wracking planning the evening but very rewarding when it all goes to plan I've certainly had a lot of very good comments. Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the band.

Dear Jim (Email rec'd 1224hrs 29/10/07)

A BIG thank you to you and your band for making our Father's 60th birthday party on Friday night!!

He was very very surprised and had no idea we had set it all up for him. Everyone had fun with the dancing and said it was much better than just having a DJ playing.

I hope you enjoyed it too even though it was quite a small gig for you.

Thank you once again. Kind regards Helen Giles

Hi Jim (Email sent 1222hrs 21/10/07 Tring gig 28th Sep 07)

We came back from Honeymoon earlier this week and just wanted to say
how much we and all our guests enjoyed your playing on the evening of
our wedding.

Everyone thought it was a great idea to have a Ceilidh Band and got
the evening session off to a great start straightaway. I'm just sorry
that alot of the guests were too blathered with wine to follow your
dance instructions but it just made the enjoyment all the more.

Thanks once again. Gerry & Roy Blackall

Hi Jim, (email 1129hrs 18/5/07)
I am writing to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding on Saturday night at the Farnham House Hotel. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we have had so many people say to us how much they enjoyed the music and the dancing - it really topped off what was a fantastic day. Personally I was really impressed
by the musicianship and all the hard work the band put in, it is rare these days to see a band play for the whole evening without a break - fantastic.....

Thanks also for letting me get up and play a couple of songs with the band, I really enjoyed it, as did other people. I hope my playing did the band justice!

I'm sure we will find an excuse for booking you again - maybe my 40th?!....

Pass my thanks on to all the lads in the band, and see you again....

Just to say a big thank you for making our fundraising evening for Hampton Pool such a success.

I have had so many people telling me what what a fun time they had, with many of them asking if we can do it again.

Please say thank you to all of the band - they were fantastic and I would certainly recommend you to anyone else organising a Ceilidh.

Thank you so much as well for supporting the pool by giving us a reduced rate - it means that we have managed to raise a decent amount of money for the pool.
Best wishes, Michele

Thanks Jim on behalf of Bracknell Forest Catenians for yet again a wonderful Ceilidh evening. Thank you especially for responding to our feedback last year to our request for more traditional Celtic music both instrumental and vocal - the Celts among the audience were certainly happy with that. I have passed your details on to the next social committee and, if they so decide, would look forward to enjoying your company again next year"

It was the first time we'd tried something different for our party and I must admit that I was pretty nervous especially as quite a few people had sounded less than convinced about the dancing. I must admit I was very surprised that so many people did get up and without too much bullying you really did an excellent job of keeping us all under control. I hope you got your sandwiches OK, didn't dehydrate and managed to get away OK. I feel really guilty for not looking after you all a bit better but I'm afraid I was having too good a time. Hopefully we'll get the chance to do it all again sometime. I think a few people have taken the day off to recover but I've attached the comments that I've received so far.
Berni
Well done Berni - the best Chemistry do yet! Food and entertainment all excellent
just wanted to say thanks for all your efforts in getting the party organised. Anto and I thought that the food was very good (better than in the last few years) and the venue + band excellent because the dancing was very inclusive while leaving ample quiet spots for people to chat.
Thankyou for organising a great evening, Sue and I enjoyed the evening very much. The "chaotic" dancing was a success.

Dear Jim and the band, (Email 14th Nov 06)
We wanted to write to thank you for helping to make our wedding day at Bury Court on 21st October so special. Your music was a great fit with the venue and we and all our guests enjoyed dancing - or should I say attempting to dance! It was so great to see everyone, old and young, up on the dance floor, and the dances were a great way of mixing people up and getting people to dance with different partners. We are sorry we did not get to meet you properly, but everything seemed to happen so quickly and before we knew it the evening was over!
Having returned from honeymoon in New England last week, we are back to every day life now, but we are looking forward to getting our official photos back in a couple of weeks and re-living the experience.
We had a fantastic wedding day and have some wonderful memories. Thank you for your great contribution to that.
Kind Regards, Charlotte and Paul Lloyd

Just a little note to say a big thank you to you and the band for making our wedding such fun at Bury Court Barn. We have had so many comments from people about how much they enjoyed it and we had a fantastic time too, even though there were a few bruised feet the next day. We hope that you all had a good evening too and apologises that I didn’t get to speak to you on the evening.
Best regards and thanks again. Nikki & Adrian

Hi Jim (27th September 06 Email)
I'm sorry this is so late in coming, but just wanted to say thank you so
much for the fantastic music at our wedding in June. We had an amazing
time, and was great to see young and old up on the dance floor - we have
some great pictures, that bring back very happy memories of the day. Our
guests also commented on how much they enjoyed the dancing and music - so
thank you!

I hope all is well with you, and you've had a busy summer of dancing and
making merry!

With best wishes, Vicky & Chris Pawsey

Hi Jim (27th September 06 Email)
I hope you have enjoyed a prosperous 2006 so far.

The time has come for me to ask about your availability for XXXXX this year. Is there any chance we could be lucky 2 years in a row???

Everyone is asking, and I would be grateful if you could let me know if you and a couple of your colleagues would be available as a celidh band this year

I look forward to hearing from you

With very best wishes Denise. Queens Head, Wing

Dear Jim, 20th September 06

Thank you for organising and performing the ceilidh at our wedding last month (11th). Despite my family’s reservations, everybody had a good time, as predicted! You even had my Grandma’s friend Joyce dancing! It was a wonderful evening and the mix of songs was just right. Thank you to the whole band, Sophie and Max.

Hi Karen and Paul, 13th Aug 06

Both delighted and flattered that you seem to have changed your wedding date to allow us to perform for you!

I attach our usual simple letter of confirmation which should be self explanatory and look forward to the usual deposit and speaking to you closer to the date.

Jim

Jim, (Email 10th Aug 06 re gig 5th Aug 06)

Just to say a big thank you to yourself and all the other members of the
band for your contribution to a brilliant night. Rebekah and I had such a
wonderful day and despite a few reservations prior to the event from some
people who had not been to a 'barn dance' before, they were all totally won
over on the actual night. We have received so many glowing comments about
how much fun it was and everybody just got on and did it, regardless of
whether they knew who they were dancing with or not!

I hope everything went ok for you guys, despite the late start and thanks
again for contributing brilliantly to what was the nest day of our lives.

Greg + Rebekah

Talk about buses ..... hmmmm!

Hi Jim, (Email 25th July 06)

Many thanks for playing at our wedding in the Crown Inn at Pishill. It was fantastic and everyone loved it.

Thank you very much for the wonderful evening of entertainment at our wedding reception. Everyone commented on how fantastic the band was and how we managed to find you. We all had great fun including my 93 year old grandmother.

We will definitely recommend you to all our family and friends, as you helped us through the dances that we didn't know, with great patience and humour, at our left footedness! If and when we have another party, you will be on top of the list.

Many thanks to all the boys. You helped make our day a truly magical one."

All the best Mat and Angela

Dear Jim, (Email 25 July 06 )

A big, big thank you for all that you did for us on our wedding day at
The Swan on the 23rd of June. You were all fantastic and so friendly and
amenable in such a hectic atmosphere! We have had so many comments on
how excellent you were (including a fellow caller!) and from people who
thought they'd never dance at such a thing but thoroughly enjoyed it! I
was so pleased to see so many people dancing, laughing, mixing and
enjoying themselves. You really did make the evening.

I do hope that we can think up another occasion to use you but I'll
definitely be recommending you to everyone!

Best wishes and thank you again, Melissa and Ian Pittock!

Dear Jim and Band (Card rec'd 25th Jly 06)
Thank you for playing at our wedding on May 6th, you provided excellent
entertainment for us and all of our guests.

We have had so many people telling us that they had a fantastic time dancing, especially those who have never tried it before.

Many thanks Lisa & Andrew Cresswell.

Hi James 24th April 06

Your name was given to me by a colleague who booked up the band for a dinner last year for the company I work for - SHL. I hear you were very successful in getting our senior managers up to dance which is very impressive and everyone really enjoyed the evening, and really recommended you.

Hi Jim, 23rd March 06

Just a quick note to thank you all for a wonderful evening last Friday. Everyone really enjoyed it, although some are still aching from the dance moves!!

Thanks again, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Thanks and kind regards and hope to speak to you again in the future.

Hi Daire, 28th Feb 06
Thanks for your e-mail inviting the Beer and Baccy Band to Handle the Ceili for the Lord Mayors dinner to celebrate the start of the Mayor's St. Patrick's Day Festival, Saturday March 11th at the 5 star Marriott, Grosvenor Square Hotel where approx 350/380 guests will be in attendance in black tie dress!

Hi Jim, 27th Feb 06
just to say Thanks for your contribution to Saturday night. It may not have been a typical gig for the band but the end result was £4700 pounds raised for the cancer charity, the Fountain Centre. It was a bit hectic, I just hope the band didnt go hungry or thirsty. The whole family really appreciate you giving of your time, and hopefully you will get some spin off commercial bookings as a result. You went down a treat and all feed back has been nothing but positive. So thanks again Jim and please extend our thanks to all the players. With warmest regards Michelle and Angie and all the Mccormacks.

Hi Mike, 20th Feb 06

Thanks your last.

Delighted that we'll be back with you for the fourth year in succession and probably in a larger hall. I confirm that Sat 3rd Feb 07 now provisionally reserved for you. Jim.

Dear Jim 6th Feb 06 (Spanish/Scottish wedding)
Apologies for taking so long to write to you, but this is just a wee note to thank you and your fellow band members for the wonderful performance at our wedding. We and all our guests had a wonderful time and that was very much down to you. It was wonderful the way you included everyone, especially calling out the steps in spanish too and everyone has commented to us how much they enjoyed it.
Thank you for all your help. We’ll definitely be recommending you.
Love Lisa and Jose x.

Dear Jim 15th Jan 06
I got your details from Katrina Buchanan, whose wedding reception you played at in November 2005. She sang your praises highly.

I am getting married on ?th October 2006 and was wondering if I could book you ...
Kind regards Karen Glynn

Jim, 10th Jan 06 Gov Off for SE

Just a short note to thank you and the band for making our Office Christmas Party on the 8th December a great success.

Everyone was extremely pleased with the evening and I for one was surprised at how many people you managed to get up and dancing.

I hope that you and the others had fun watching us make a fool of ourselves!

Once again, thank you and please pass on my thanks to the rest of the musicians. My only regret was that I forgot to ask if you could play the Pogues – Fairytale of New York, maybe next time!

Regards Toni

Hi Jim (1st Jan 06 email entitled "How great thou art!!! 2358hrs)

Thank you so much for making New Years eve at my pub the talk of the village.
Every one is raving about what a great night it was. I know that I told you it would be my first real New Years eve here this year and I was hoping it would be good but your band made it so much better than good!!!
Please extend my gratitude to the other band members and please please consider coming back this year. I know it probably wasnt earth moving for you but I can tell you it pretty nearly was for me!!!!
Thanks again and again Denise x

Dear Jim 21st Nov 05
Just a quick thank you to you and all the gang for last Saturday.
What a fantastic time everyone had! You must have been exhausted!
Many thanks once again from myself and everyone at the Pavilion Club.
Best wishes Jenny Marks Events Co-ordinator

Dear Jim (Bristol gig 18th Nov 05 )
A belated thanks to you and the band for helping make
my fortieth (29/10/05) birthday such an enjoyable occasion.
People said they felt it was a really special occasion with
a great atmosphere and I think your music was the main contribution to that.
Thank you David

Dear Jim, (Saddler’s Wells Wdg gig) 27th October 05

A big thank you to yourself and the band for creating a great ceilidh atmosphere at our wedding on 10 September. Everyone had a really great time and it’s some achievement to get a whole bunch of non-dancers doing approximately the right thing at the right time and thoroughly enjoying themselves! Many thanks, Claire and Bernard.

Me/them: "Well done band! The ultimate accolade! Have just taken a booking for a wedding celebration from a couple who changed the date from the 19th Nov 05, because we were booked, to the 26th Nov 05 which starts with the following:

Hi Jim,
We would very much like to book you and your band for the 26th November. We have managed to change the date specially! ... ... ...

Many thanks Katrina and Keith"

"We wanted to thank you all for a fabulous ceilidh on Saturday (24/9/05). We’ve had lots of feed back about how we’d excelled ourselves this time (even with a history of great parties). Also a number of men who are never to be seen on the dance floor joined in much to everyone’s amazement. We hope the journey home was easier than the way to the venue (via the ski slope).
All the best Angie and Alistair"

"A quick note to thank you and all the band for the great time we had at our wedding reception. Since our return from honeymoon we have recieved so many thank you letters from our guests, saying what a wonderful time they had. We really enjoyed ourselves, and all the more so for seeing everyone else joining in and having a good time. I hope you had a good evening, Twig seemed to be taking care of you(?!) and that your journey home was safe.

We would be more than happy to recommend you to others, and indeed hope that we have cause to book you again for some happy event in the future.

With thanks,
Hannah & Jason."

"Just a quick line to thank you for the repeat booking for band with caller to perform at the Royal College of Music on Monday the 12th September 05.

I look forward to final details etc from your president Matt Burke."

"thank-you very much for last night (BLACK Thu 7th July 05), we all had an excellent time and thought the band were fantastic! Also we thought you were very patient, I think we had more musically challenged people than your average crowd. Hopefully some of the enthusiasm made up for the complete lack of skill and coordination!
I also thought you made the best of the small number of people that were there in the end -I must admit that I expected double that number, but I think unfortunately a lot of people got stuck in traffic or were otherwise affected by the bombings, it was very bad news.

Again, thank-you for the music and instruction last night, and hopefully we'll arrange another ceilidh in the not too distant future.

best regards,
Tania"

"Just a quick line to say a BIG thankyou for a great day on Sunday, we
enjoyed ourselves and so did our family and friends, I have attacked a few
photos taken.
Kind regards

Mary and Wayne Scott"

"I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big, big THANK YOU to you and the other band members for a fantastic ceilidh on Saturday night (11th June 05) at The Punchbowl for my, and my friend, Julianne’s, 30th birthday. The music was absolutely wonderful. You guys really made the party go with a swing and everyone had a thoroughly good time. I will certainly bear you mind for the next family bash and I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who is looking for a band. You were all excellent – and so friendly and professional as well.
Thanks also for letting my little sister, Josefa, have a go at singing “Fever”. Didn’t she do well? It was a dream come true for her.
And, finally, thank you for helping me prove my Mum wrong – I WAS able to ceilidh in 6 inch heels despite her saying that I would break my neck!
All the best to you and the other members,
Kindest regards

Daniela"

"Thank you for making the party that much more special. We really had a
wonderful time. I've been getting phone calls from the guests thanking us
for such a great time. The parents especially said what a good time the kids
had, and that everyone felt included.

I hope to be able to call upon your services again in the future. You were
all so professional and courteous. We thank you.

I've attached some pictures that you might like.

All the best,
Richard and Nikki Conway"

"Jim, by popular demand we would like you back again in 2006 - can you check your diary please for Feb 11th as the first choice - also check on Feb4th and 25th in case the hall is not available. Venue will be the same as before. Please advise cost
Regards
Mike Hendy
PS. I might also have a potential booking for you in the summer for my new Lions Club - Wokingham Lions. We are trying to find a suitable venue"

"I still get people telling me how wonderful that Burns Night Ceilidh was. A
couple of people have asked me for your details which I gladly passed on.
I'm sure that they may have already contacted you. As I remember Fr Antonio
Ritaccio promised to put a link to your band's website on the World Youth
Day Website. That has now been taken care of. The World Youthday website can
be found at: www.worldyouthday.org.uk where there are also pictures of the
night. Please pay special attention to photo 19. I trust that business is
still good.

Best Wishes and God Bless,

Robert."
